Up for sale is a 1976 Marshall JMP 4 input Lead & Bass Model 2100 head. One of the less common yet most versatile of the JMP amps, with the chassis mounted inside a head box, it was called the Marshall Model 1964 Lead & Bass.
This identical circuit/chassis was also offered in a 2-12 combo enclosure and was called the 2100. This was only available via mail order for 4 years until 1976. The 2100 is exactly the same as the JMP Lead & Bass head Model 1964.
One of the less common yet most versatile of the JMP amps, the Marshall Model 1964 Lead & Bass 50 sports one channel of 1987 Lead and one channel of 1986 Bass.
This has been freshly serviced. Aside of some caps and replaced resistors that weren’t healthy, we left this alone! From here it can obviously be easily modded into different Marshall circuits. Ready to gig!
So for those who are wondering why we have decided to sell this as a head:
Our shop has had some inquiries from customers expressing interest in just the chassis and others that were wanting the Marshall labeled Celestions and/or the 2-12 Marshall enclosure for their head to convert it over to a combo. With that in mind, we went ahead, spent the money, and purchased a brand new high quality USA built MojoTone Marshall head box for the chassis so we can sell it as a head. So if you’re looking for a great deal on a stock ’76 50 watt JMP, don’t hesitate to pick this up! Yeah, it comes in a brand spankin new MojoTone head enclosure, but the important stuff is all original!
Once again. This listing is just for the head. The photos of the combo/speaker enclosure with the chassis installed included in the listing are for those who might be interested in purchasing the 2-12 combo enclosure, the speakers, and the mojotone head box with the chassis.
Thanks for looking.
