Ward Lap Steel 1940's

$550.00

Here is a late 1930's to early 40's lap steel made for Ward (Montgomery as far as my research has found) most of the components like the Chicago made pickup, bumble bee cap, and IRC pots point to it being built by Gibson as they and a couple other companies would build specific models just for catalog and department stores in the day. This lap steel is in virtually unplayed condition and works as it should. The pots, pickup, and output jack work like new and except for some stiff tuners it tunes up and sounds amazing. Compares to an old Gibson EH100 as it has the same plate and pickup. Includes the original chipboard case in ridiculously good condition. And has the instruction manual for the Ward amp (unfortunately was not with it when we got it).

This listed locally, posted on gear forums, and can be found on our 35 South Vintage Reverb page.
